Homeland is a psychological thriller TV series which piloted on October 2, 2011 on Showtime and it was created by Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon from Gideon Raff’s Prisoners of War, which is an Israeli series.

Homeland starred Claire Danes, Morena, Baccarin, and Damian Davis. Danes is Carrie Mathison who is an operations officer of the CIA who believes that Nicholas Brody, played by Damian Davis, has been turned by the enemy after being captive in Afghanistan for 8 years. Her assumptions had been based on an intelligent report that an American prisoner had been turned by al-Qaeda into a sleeper agent.

Carrie carries on following Brody while politicians are making big plans to turn Brody into a hero after he was rescued from captivity. The media simply love Brody though his changing behavior threatens to jeopardize his hero status. In the meantime Carrie got a confirmation report from a video surveillance that Abu Nazir, an Al-Qaeda member met up with the Royal Prince of the KSA.

In the middle of all the drama and the suspense, Carrie and Brody became personally involved. Brody was reunited with one of his captors, then there was a shooting at a mosque, and through it all Carrie was still not able to learn the truth about Brody.

In the last episodes of the series, Brody was offered to run for congress and towards the end of the season, he was preparing for his congressional campaign as Carrie was hospitalized and confined to bed after an explosion.

The series ended with so many questions unanswered and viewers are eagerly waiting for the next season. Showtime revealed though that the season ender is, for the record, the highest rating finale for a first season series in their history. Fans of the series are expecting the executive producers of the show, Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa to announce the airing of season 2.

This Magic Moment, the title of episode 11 of Grey’s Anatomy season 8, is another good choice for this drama filled episode where the doctors are occupied in the preparation for the separation of conjoined twins. The surgery was so intense with one baby’s kidney suddenly failing so the doctors had to do an emergency kidney transplant taking a kidney from the other baby to save her twin. Everything went well after that, at least for the twins. The drama between the doctors continued, with Alex getting pissed at Richard because he thinks that Richard stole his role during the operation. Carrie on the other hand is equally pissed at Arizona for being over controlling during the entire procedure.

In other scenes, Bailey seems to be happy being back with Ben, but she feels so pressured in making commitments. So, Bailey asked Meredith to be a buffer between them because Ben is pressuring her to move in with him.

Meanwhile, Teddy was grieving the lost of her husband, which is only understandable. But she kept on bothering Cristina paging her over and over again so that Cristina can tell her what exactly happened to Henry in surgery. She had practically interrogated Cristina much to April’s annoyance. In the end, Teddy realized Cristina had done everything she could have done and Teddy tearfully accepted that.

Having a baby simply makes everyone crazy as Meredith and Derek went ga-ga over Zola and desperately tries to videotape her first steps.

The magic moment could be the successful operation of the twins; it couldn’t be Teddy’s grief over her lost or the intense pressure that Bailey is receiving from Ben or April’ annoyance over Teddy. The light part of the episode, which is always present in all Grey’s Anatomy’s episodes, is having Zola on the screen, smiling and waddling.

There are many highlights in the 12^th episode of the season 8 of Grey’s Anatomy. One is the 1000^th surgery that Richard will be performing, the other is Zola’s birthday party and last is Meredith having to decide on a specialty.

But of course, not everything is ever so simple on the series. Richard’s milestone as a surgeon turns out to be a bickering match between sisters that he will operate on. One sister is having a liver transplant and the other one is donating hers. The operation went well anyway, and a success of course. It could have been a good way to celebrate but Adelle showed up in the hospital confused and found wandering the streets. In the end, the song, “My Funny Valentine” brought her back to the present.

Meanwhile, Derek was asked by a mother of a young boy with an inoperable tumor in the spine to take on his son’s case. The mother said her boy is not aware that he has a tumor. But that is not true; the boy actually knows his condition and told Lexie about it. Derek did the surgery with Lexie, only to confirm what other doctors had found out, the boy is inoperable. So, they finished up without taking the tumor out. It was a heartbreaking scene when the boy assures her mother that he will be okay and that he will be with his dad soon.

In other scenes, Meredith has to decide on a specialty. General surgery seems to be the best option but she’s afraid of turning out to be like her mother. But as usual, Richard was at her side, telling her that that will never happen.

The parties continued anyway, with some of Zola’s birthday cake used to celebrate Richard’s milestone. Everything was going on well, until Owen shows up and then he and Cristina started having a shouting match, which first started with the surgery she and Teddy did behind Owen’s back and then it went on into their personal matters. In the end he accused Cristina of killing their baby, and that took away the entire party mood.

Episode 10 of Grey’s Anatomy’s Season 8 began where the last season ended, in a highway collision between a family and Meredith’s and Alex’ ambulance. Meredith and Alex thought all passengers of the car that collided with their ambulance were dead but most of them are alive. The old woman was dead but the rest of the family is actually alive though all are injured and the son is trapped in the wreckage.

Meredith concentrated on the baby as Alex spotted another car coming, good thing it was another ambulance and they all went straight to the hospital.

At the hospital, the mother dies, Michael almost deteriorated from hypothermia but Ben was able to save him as Bailey operated on his liver lacerations.

The sister, on the other hand was operated on the eye by Julia with Lexie assisting. Julia worked by exposing the patient’s eye socket by removing the eye. The father died but the baby was able to survive.

The usual panic and chaos in the hospital was mellowed by some scenes of drama and a little romance, with Ben and Bailey reconciling and Derek arriving home to find Meredith passed out on the place mat. A Grey’s Anatomy episode never ends in simple terms of course. The doorbell rings and, Meredith opened it expecting the pizza delivery only to find Janet, a social worker, carrying the crying baby. Janet announced to Meredith, “She’s yours.”

Through all the drama of the OR and the episode, the music had carried the viewers to a beautiful episode. Suddenly is the perfect music for all the sudden deaths and survivals as well as the sudden changes of people’s perceptions of other people.

Teddy lost her husband, the kids from the accident lost their parents and grandmother, but Ben was back with Bailey and Lexie suddenly finds it is possible to like Julia. And of course, suddenly Meredith has a baby.

Louie is a comedy TV series aired on the FX network in 2010. Louis C.K. created, wrote, directed, edited and produced the show wherein he also starred as his own fictional self. He plays a newly divorced comedian with two daughters and they are living inNew York City.

The TV series has the loose format that is not typical for a comedy TV series. The story lines and the segments usually have no connections with each other, but they certainly revolve around the life of Louie. The show is constantly interrupted with lie stand-up performances.

Though, it seems a loose formatted show, it has received good reviews and was actually included in some of 2010’s top ten lists.

Loiue C.K. was even nominated as a Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for the Primetime Emmy Award and for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. It was announce that the series will have its third season.

Season two opener will see Louie’s sister arriving unexpectedly and pregnant. Stand-up scene for this episode is on divorce and his daughters’ lack of any abilities. Further in the series, Louie will look for a new home which will of course turn into an unrealistic search. In this episode, Donna Hannover will play as the real-estate agent. Louie will go toAtlantaCityfor a show and will meet Joan Rivers, who plays herself, who happens to be performing at the same venue.

In episode 5, Louie and the girls will go toPennsylvaniato visit an elderly aunt. The girls will eb culture-shocked and the stand-up performance will deal with Louie preferring Tom Sawyer over Huckleberry Finn.

Towards the end of the series, Louie will go toAfghanistanfor a performance for troops with a country singer and twoTexasblonde cheerleaders. The series will end with Louie having another rough time.
